Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford's joint business, Holmes & Away, has racked up six-figure debits with the company needing to pay a whopping £251,029 on bills. The former married couple have worked on multiple businesses together in the past and were often seen on screen as a package deal, but now some payments need to be made. The business, which was set up by the pair in 2009, was once thriving but since their split it hasn't continued.
It has also been claimed that the company has ceased trading and has plans to dissolve. Figures filed at Companies House shows that as of March 31 2025, a six-figure sum is owed to creditors, which reads as being signed off by Eamonn in January, it has been reported. The debts are said to be due to be repaid within a year.
According to The Sun, it'll leave the firm which currently has £203,055 in assets, £47,974 in the red. It's the second year in a row that the business has gone into the red zone, with £22,850 in the red and £149,115 owed in bills. The firm once held assets of £658,680 as well as £337,477 in one of their best years back in 2018.
For the last two years the accounts have stated: "These accounts are prepared on a basis other than going concern as the company has ceased trading and plans to dissolve in the next two months."
Both Eamonn and Ruth have their own separate business accounts too, with various projects including brand deals and TV work contributing towards payments.
Eamonn and Ruth went their separate ways in 2024 and focused on their own lives, including their own TV work, prior to that. They previously hosted This Morning together and were married since 2010, but a spokesperson in May 2024 confirmed their marriage was over.
Eamonn focused his career on various projects including GB News, while Ruth continued her relationship with ITV but worked on Loose Women as a panellist. They had built an on-screen relationship for years, having hosted the ITV show together in 2006 before they said their final goodbye in 2021 and was later replaced by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.
