The second match of the Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) was also as high-scoring as the first match. The match was played on 29 March between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This match was exciting, in which Mumbai won by 6 wickets. KKR, on the other hand, started their campaign with a defeat.

Before IPL 2026, KKR is facing the problem of injured players. In this match, this was not visible much in batting but in bowling, Kolkata appeared to be a complete failure. KKR made a huge score of 220 runs in 20 overs but their bowlers could not defend this huge target. The result was that MI achieved this big target easily.

KKR failed in this department

Kolkata Knight Riders’ batsmen performed well but the bowling department was completely lackluster.
