Massive Success of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'

Mumbai: The latest film by director Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, featuring Ranveer Singh, has achieved an impressive global box office collection of ₹1,365 crore since its premiere on March 19.


This remarkable financial success has solidified its status as one of the year's top blockbusters, showcasing Dhar's talent for creating large-scale films that captivate audiences worldwide.


A recent tweet from Jio Studios on X provided a detailed breakdown of the film's earnings, revealing that it garnered ₹867 crore from India alone, with consistent earnings beyond its opening week, including ₹53 crore on Day 8, ₹42 crore on Day 9, ₹64 crore on Day 10, and ₹71 crore on Day 11.


On a global scale, the film has grossed an astounding ₹1,365 crore, with ₹1,023 crore coming from India and ₹342 crore from international markets.

The first installment of this duology, released on December 5, 2025, was also a box-office triumph, earning over ₹1,000 crore globally within three weeks.


The cast of Dhurandhar includes notable actors such as Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Danish Pandor.


The initial film revolves around a high-stakes covert counter-terrorism mission, following an undercover Indian intelligence officer who infiltrates Karachi's criminal networks and political systems to dismantle a terror organization targeting India.


In Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the undercover agent continues his infiltration into Karachi's criminal underbelly and political landscape while seeking vengeance for the 26/11 attacks and tackling even greater threats.


The narrative draws loosely from various real-world geopolitical events and conflicts in South Asia, including Operation Lyari, the 2014 Indian general election, and the 2016 Indian banknote demonetization. With a runtime of 229 minutes, it ranks as the eighth-longest Indian film ever made.
