The trailer begins with the ancient Kanthallur Sala, popularly known as the Nalanda of South India. Here all types of knowledge were welcomed, but witchcraft was not believed. Suddenly mention of dark forces comes to the fore. Jayasurya plays the role of a man who possesses supernatural powers, which is not possible for an ordinary human being.

Anushka Shetty is seen in a character who brings color and light to people’s lives. A performer in the trailer says, “A trap has been laid that will surprise everyone beyond imagination.” A small child watches all this, which clearly shows that the film is going to give a unique visual experience to the audience. This 178-second trailer features spectacular VFX, grand sets and magical effects.

The story of this film is based on the famous 9th century Christian priest Kadamattathu Kathanar, who was believed to possess supernatural powers. They fought against dark forces. Jayasurya will be seen in this legendary character, while Anushka Shetty will be seen as ‘Neeli’. This is Anushka Shetty’s debut film in Malayalam cinema. Prabhu Deva will be seen in a special role in the film and Mohanlal will be seen in a cameo. Other cast includes Sanup Santosh, Sandy, Devika, Nitish Bhardwaj, Vineet etc.

The film is directed and edited by Rosin Thomas, who has previously made films like ‘Home’. Story by Rosin Thomas and R. Ramanand has written. The music is by Rahul Subramaniam and the cinematography is by Neil D’Cunha. Producer Gokulam Gopalan has positioned it as one of the biggest budget projects in Malayalam cinema. There are plans to release the film in seven languages, so that it can reach a pan-India audience.
