  • Dual Inverter AC has a twin rotary compressor, which provides fast cooling, low power consumption and quiet operation.
  • In normal AC, the compressor switches on and off repeatedly, due to which there is no stability in cooling and electricity bill becomes high.
  • The speed of the dual inverter AC adjusts according to the room temperature, providing continuous cooling.

Dual Inverter AC: As the summer season is approaching, the demand for air conditioners is increasing. Meanwhile, the market is flooded with technical terms like ‘inverter AC’ and ‘dual inverter AC’, making it difficult for many consumers to choose the right option. Therefore, in this article we will explain what are the important differences between dual inverter AC and normal inverter AC and which option will be better for you.

What is dual inverter AC?

Dual inverter ACs are slightly different from normal ACs. It has a twin rotary compressor, which means it has two compression chambers. Its main advantages are that it provides fast cooling, consumes less power, and operates quietly. Apart from this, this AC can adjust its speed and RPM as per requirement. If less cooling is required, it will run slower, and if more cooling is required, it will run faster. Due to this variable speed feature, the dual inverter AC becomes more energy efficient.

What’s different?

Now the question arises that what is the difference between dual inverter AC and normal AC? The most prominent difference is in the way the compressor works. In a normal AC, the compressor keeps switching on and off again and again. When the room temperature reaches the set limit, it turns off, and when the temperature rises again, it turns on. Due to this continuous on-off process, there is no stability in cooling and the electricity bill also becomes high.

Whereas, dual inverter air conditioners use a different technology. In this the compressor always remains on and its speed keeps adjusting according to the temperature of the room. This means you get continuous cooling, without the hassle of frequent on-off cycles. Additionally, in dual rotary technology the load is divided between both the rotors. This makes the compressor work more efficiently, especially when the outside weather is very hot or cold.
