On one side the films are announced and on the other side the excitement level of the audience increases. But, 4 years ago on this day i.e. 1st April, when 'Attack' was released in theatres, the audience reached the theater in the hope that they would get to see a powerful science fiction action film. But, by the end of the film, many people were seen saying, 'This has become an April Fool!' Yes, on the day when the world celebrates the day of jokes and pranks, 'Attack', released on the same day, itself proved to be a cinematic prank for the audience.
bollywood actor john abraham Expectations from the starrer film 'Attack' were also high because it showed the story of India's first super soldier. The trailer and concept had excited people, but the actual story faded a bit as soon as it came on screen. The beginning of the film was weak at the box office, earning around Rs 3-3.5 crores on the first day made it clear that things were not doing well. This film was released on 1 April 2022.
'Attack' was directed by Lakshya Raj Anand. While the makers hoped that the film would benefit from word of mouth, the audience did not pay much attention to it. Gradually the theaters started becoming empty and the pace of the film slowed down. This film, made with a budget of around Rs 80 crores, made only around Rs 30 crores in its lifetime, which means it was clearly a big flop. Many people have described the story of the film as basic and boring. The film could not even reach half of its budget.

Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj and Ratna Pathak Shah were included in this film along with John Abraham. Along with this, one of the reasons for the flop of this film was that at that time there was a huge craze for films like RRR and The Kashmir Files in the theatres, which completely suppressed 'Attack'. This super soldier failed to make his mark in the crowd of big films.
Actually, the biggest weakness of the film was its story and treatment. While the audience expected to see science fiction of international level, many scenes on screen seemed beyond imagination. The balance between technology and emotion also got disturbed somewhere. This was the reason why both the film critics and the general audience were not much impressed by it.
