Big relief to airline companies and passengers, jet fuel prices did not increase

Amidst the rising prices of crude oil and the oil crisis, it was expected that petroleum companies would increase the prices of jet fuel i.e. air turbine fuel. This was not seen at all. According to the historical data of IOCL, this is the first time in the last two years that the prices of jet fuel have been kept on hold by petroleum companies.

Earlier in the month of March, the companies had increased the prices of jet fuel. Be it for domestic flights or international flights. Due to which the price of jet fuel for domestic flights in the country had increased to more than Rs 1 lakh per kilolitre. Let us also tell you what the price of jet fuel has become in the four metros of the country.

According to IOCL data, the price of jet fuel in the country's capital Delhi is seen at Rs 96,638.14 per kilolitre. On the other hand, in Kolkata this price has reached Rs 99,587.14 per kilolitre. Whereas its prices in Mumbai are the lowest among the four metros, and the price is Rs 90,451.87 per kilolitre. In Chennai, the largest metropolis in the southern part of the country, the price of jet fuel is the highest at more than one lakh kilolitre. According to IOCL data, the price of jet fuel here has reached Rs 1,00,280.49 per kilolitre.

On the other hand, there has been no change in the prices of jet fuel for international flights in the month of April. According to IOCL data, the price of jet fuel in the country's capital Delhi remains at $ 816.91 per kiloliter. Whereas in Kolkata, the price of jet fuel is the highest among the metros at $ 855.25 per kiloliter. Whereas in Mumbai the price remains at $ 816.62 per kiloliter. The lowest price of jet fuel for international flights in Chennai is seen at $ 812.32 per kiloliter.
