The onslaught of unseasonal rain is not stopping. The Meteorological Department has once again issued a warning of heavy rain and storm in 19 states of the country for April 1, 2026. The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of lightning and storm with a speed of 60 to 75 kilometers per hour and has advised people to remain alert.

 

The rainy season has started in Delhi-NCR since last night. It is raining intermittently in many areas of Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, rain will continue in Delhi today. During this period, strong winds will blow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour in Delhi. Due to rain, there will be a drop in minimum and maximum temperatures and the minimum temperature will be 22 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain and storm in Western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Western Rajasthan on April 1. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Jyotibaphule Nagar, Badaun, Bijnor, Sambhal, Aligarh, Etah, Mathura, Bulandshahr, Mainpuri, Kanpur, Lucknow districts of Uttar Pradesh from today till April 3.

 

 

Talking about Bihar, there is a possibility of rain and storm continuing in Bihar also. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Bihar from April 1 to April 6 in West Champaran, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Patna, Rohtas, Jehanabad, Nawada, Aurangabad, Nalanda, Begusarai, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani. Along with this, storm can blow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour.

 

April may also start with rain in Punjab and Haryana. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain and storm in Amritsar, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Roop Nagar, Saas Nagar, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Hamirpur, Ferozepur districts of Punjab. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert. At the same time, moderate to heavy rain may occur in Gurugram, Sonipat, Kaithal, Panipat, Hisar, Yamunanagar, Mahendragarh districts of Haryana today and tomorrow.

 

There may be light to moderate rain in Datia, Ashok Nagar, Bhopal, Damoh, Panna, Sagar, Gwalior, Katni districts of Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, the weather in Rajasthan may remain clear today but tomorrow there may be light rain along with strong winds. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Jaipur, Ajmer, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur districts.

Weather of Himachal Uttarakhand?

The weather is likely to remain clear in Himachal and Uttarakhand for the next 2 days. However, after this the rainy season may start once again. According to the Meteorological Department, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kangra, Manali, Hamirpur districts of Himachal may receive moderate to heavy rain between April 3 and 4.

 

Like Himachal, in Uttarakhand also the weather will be clear for the first 2 days. After this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Chamoli, Dehradun, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Almora, Champawat, Bageshwar from April 3 to April 6. Along with this, there is a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 70 kilometers per hour. On the other hand, snowfall continues in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, light rain or snowfall is possible at some places after noon on April 1 and 2.

Eastern India is likely to receive maximum rainfall in the month of April. The rainy season may continue in Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Odisha till April 6. Apart from this, the weather is likely to remain mostly clear in Western India. The weather is likely to be humid in South India.
