Hyderabad: Chinese tech giant Xiaomi’s smartphone manufacturer Redmi has expanded its Note series in the Indian market and launched its new Redmi Note 15 5G. Along with this, the company has also launched a new tablet Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G. The new Redmi Note 15 5G has been launched as the successor to the company’s existing Note 14 5G, which was launched in December 2024.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset has been used in the new Redmi Note 15 5G, and the company has claimed that it will provide more than 30 percent faster multitasking performance compared to the previous generation. Redmi Note 15 5G has a 108-megapixel camera and has a 5,520mAh battery.
Price of Redmi Note 15 5G
The new Redmi Note 15 5G has been launched in a total of two variants in the Indian market. Where its base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage has been launched at a price of Rs 19,999. Whereas the price of the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration has been kept at Rs 21,999. However, this price includes a bank discount of Rs 2,000.
Interested customers can also avail bank discount of up to Rs 3,000 on Axis, ICICI Bank and SBI card transactions. Apart from this, Redmi is also providing two months of YouTube Premium, three months of Spotify Premium Standard and six months of Google One access at no extra cost.
Features of Redmi Note 15 5G
The new Redmi Note 15 5G has a dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) setup, and this phone runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2. The company has promised to provide four years of OS and six years of security updates with it. The company has claimed that this handset will also get OTA update of HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 in the coming time.
Talking about the display, Redmi Note 15 5G has a 6.77-inch 1,080 x 2,392 pixels AMOLED screen, which has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on top.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset has been used in this phone, which has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 onboard storage. In addition, it also supports MicroSD storage expansion.
Camera setup of Redmi Note 15 5G
Talking about camera setup, a dual rear camera system has been used in Redmi Note 15 5G, which includes a 108-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. A 20-megapixel front camera has been installed for selfies and video calls. The rear cameras support video recording up to 4K 30 fps, while the front camera supports video recording up to 1080p 30 fps.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G also launched
Along with the new Redmi Note 15 5G, the company has also launched its new tablet Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G. This tablet was launched by the company in an event in New Delhi. The new Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G has been introduced in two color options, and will be available for purchase in the country through the company’s website later this month. A 12,000mAh battery has been installed in it. The company has given a 12.1-inch display in this tablet.
Price of Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G
Talking about the price of the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, its Wi-Fi only variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage in India has been priced at Rs 22,999. At the same time, the price of the model with Wi-Fi + 5G connectivity with the same configuration is Rs 25,999.
Lastly, the Wi-Fi + 5G model of the new tablet, which has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, has been priced at Rs 27,999. The company is also offering instant discount of up to Rs 2,000 on credit cards of Axis Bank, SBI and ICICI Bank.
Specifications of Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G
Talking about the specifications, the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G runs on HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15. The company is promising to provide five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates with it. This tablet has a 12.1-inch 2.5K (2,560×1,600 pixels) display.
This display has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 249 ppi pixel density, touch sampling rate of up to 360Hz, peak brightness of up to 600 nits, Dolby Vision, 16:10 aspect ratio and 1.07 billion colors. Talking about the processor, Qualcomm’s octa core 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset has been installed in the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G.
For this processor, the company claims that it gives a peak clock speed of 2.7GHz. The SoC has one prime core, three performance cores and four efficiency cores. The tablet also has Adreno 810 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
Camera setup of Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G
Talking about the camera setup, it has a single 13-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture, and it also has an 8-megapixel (f/2.28) front-facing camera for selfies. Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G can shoot videos up to 1080p resolution at 60fps.
Battery and connectivity of Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G
The new Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is equipped with a 12,000mAh battery, which supports 33W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. For connectivity, it supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Talking about sensors, it includes accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, e-compass and hall sensor. It is 7.5mm thick and weighs approximately 610g.
