Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who watched the first glimpse of the film, has shared his review on social media. In a post on social media, he said that he is “mesmerised” after watching the first glimpse.
“Just watched the new glimpse, Rama, from the most-awaited epic Ramayana, and I am mesmerised. It is breathtaking, no doubt, but more importantly, the glimpse lives up to the massive, gigantic expectations,” he said.
He also praised Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in the film. “Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Rama, looks exceptional - exuding grace, divinity and strength... The stunning visuals, the groundbreaking VFX, and an electrifying background score [Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman] – this glimpse from Ramayana is simply spectacular.”

Ramayana, widely touted as one of Bollywood’s biggest upcoming films, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana.
Often described as India’s answer to global epics like The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, and Gladiator, the film reportedly has a massive budget of around Rs 4,000 crore. It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra.
The film will be released in two parts, with Part One scheduled to hit theatres in October 2026 ahead of Diwali, while Part Two is planned for release in October 2027.
Interestingly, Ramayana marks the second major cinematic adaptation of Valmiki’s epic in this decade. In 2023, Om Raut’s Adipurush, starring Prabhas, failed to impress audiences and struggled at the box office.
