UPSSSC Lower PCS Syllabus: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued important information regarding the recruitment examination for the Combined State/Lower Subordinate Services (PCS). The Commission has released the syllabus for the main examination associated with this recruitment drive. The registration process for this recruitment is scheduled to commence on May 29. The Commission has issued an advertisement for the recruitment of a total of 2,285 posts across various departments.

The online application process for this recruitment will begin on May 29, 2026, while the deadline for submitting applications has been set for June 18, 2026. Furthermore, candidates will be permitted to make any modifications to their applications until June 25, 2026.

What is the Examination Scheme?
According to the issued notification, the Main Examination (Written Test) will feature the following:

A total of 100 questions will be asked.
The duration of the examination will be 2 hours (120 minutes).
All questions will be of the Objective Type.
Negative marking will also be applicable.
For every incorrect answer, 25% (1/4th) of the allotted marks will be deducted.

As per the released examination scheme, the written test will consist of a total of 100 questions, carrying a total weightage of 100 marks. The total duration of the examination has been fixed at 2 hours (120 minutes). The question paper is divided into three parts:

Part 1 covers subjects related to General Studies, including topics such as History, the Constitution, Geography, Economy, Current Affairs, Science, Environment, and Data Interpretation.

Part 2 will feature questions related to General Hindi, as well as Computer and Information Technology, with a specific focus on contemporary technological developments and innovations within this field.

Part 3 will be based entirely on general knowledge about the state of Uttar Pradesh, covering various aspects related to the state.
