Can Graduates Apply?
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's (Graduate) degree in any of the following subjects: Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or Engineering/Technology.
Candidates who hold a degree with Forestry as their major subject will receive 10% additional marks added to their total score in the Main Examination and Interview.
Candidates who are appearing for their final examination and are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply for the Preliminary Examination.
However, to appear for the Main Examination, they must provide proof of having passed their qualifying examination. Candidates must be at least 20 years of age and not more than 35 years of age, calculated as of the last date for submitting the application.
How will the Selection be Conducted?
The Commission has outlined a three-stage selection process for the Assistant Conservator of Forests and Range Forest Officer posts for 2026. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Preliminary Examination, the Main Written Examination, and the Personal Interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores obtained in the Main Written Examination and the Interview.
Application Fee
Candidates must pay the application fee exclusively through online modes at the time of submitting their application form. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen of Gujarat origin will be granted a fee exemption. For General (Unreserved) candidates, the application fee will be ₹100, plus applicable bank charges.
