According to Chinese media outlet SwampStefan, 48, recently spoke about his career struggles in an interview. He said he entered the entertainment industry after competing in the Mr. Hong Kong 2005 pageant, which led to a contract with TVB.

He later encouraged his younger brother Francois, now 41, to join the Mr. Hong Kong 2006 competition, which Francois won before also signing with the network.

However, in 2009, Francois became embroiled in a scandal involving Lee, now 56, according to the South China Morning Post.

Despite Lee’s relationship with Tang at the time, Francois openly embraced the role of a “third party.” The scandal sparked public outrage, severely damaged his image, and led to his departure from the entertainment industry soon afterward.

The fallout also affected Stefan. He said he struggled to secure acting roles for an extended period following the scandal, as the controversy reflected poorly on him. It was only after public attention faded that he was able to return to work. By then, however, he had passed his peak and faced stiff competition from a younger generation of actors, limiting him to minor roles.

In recent years, Wong has changed his stage name multiple times in an effort to revive his career, but with little success. In 2023, he left TVB and shifted his focus to business ventures.

Wong was born in Hong Kong and moved to France with his family at age four. He entered the Mr. Hong Kong competition after being encouraged by coworkers.

Tang, 83, heads Hong Kong-based ATG Sourcing, a company specializing in the import and export of shoes and accessories, which earned him his moniker.

In 2012, Tang filed a lawsuit against Lee to reclaim her half-ownership of four shared properties. At the time, his lawyer quoted him as saying: “If she had another man, she should be supported by that man.”

According to court documents, however, Tang did not seek to recover the HK$3.1 million (US$395,519) worth of jewelry or the HK$4.2 million in cash he had given Lee.
