An old video of Shah Rukh Khan at the wedding of filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan has been going viral again on social media. In the video, SRK can be seen performing kanyadaan during Farah’s wedding to editor-filmmaker Shirish Kunder.
The video, which has been doing the rounds on social media, dates back to 2004. In it, Shah Rukh Khan is seen taking part in the kanyadaan ritual - where the bride’s family symbolically gives her away in marriage - while a priest guides him through the ceremony. The video also shows SRK warmly hugging Farah and kissing her on the cheek. Several other moments from the wedding celebrations are also featured in the video.

When the video had gone viral earlier, Farah Khan expressed surprise about how it resurfaced online. She wrote, “Oh my God! Where did you all find this??”
The video was shared by an Instagram page with the caption: “When friendship turns into family, SRK did Farah Khan’s kanyadaan… This old moment is getting viral and we are loving every bit of it.”
Responding to a comment on an Instagram post, Farah clarified, “Among Mangaloreans, only a married couple can perform the kanyadaan… please be careful before saying such things.”
