Aditya Dhar's film 'Dhurdhar 2' is not only breaking box office records but also garnering acclaim for its characters. Some roles in the film are inspired by real-life figures, such as Jameel Jamali, whose character is said to be based on Pakistani politician Nabeel Gabol. Similarly, Sanjay Dutt's portrayal of Chaudhry Aslam draws parallels with the real-life Pakistani police officer. Recently, Chaudhry Aslam's wife shared her thoughts on Dutt's performance and highlighted a scene that felt particularly authentic to her.
Noreen Aslam expressed that watching Sanjay Dutt in 'Dhurdhar' and 'Dhurdhar 2' made her feel as if her husband Aslam was alive again. She mentioned this during an interview with a media channel. However, she also conveyed her disappointment, suggesting that the filmmakers could have consulted her, police, or journalists to present Chaudhry Aslam's character more accurately on screen.
Noreen Aslam remarked, 'When Sanjay Dutt is near the car and looks up, for a moment, it felt like Chaudhry Aslam was there. Aslam accomplished all the tasks that the police could not.'
She further noted that while she has not fully watched 'Dhurdhar 2' (also known as 'Dhurdhar: The Revenge'), she did see a clip where a blast occurs. Noreen stated, 'I watched a bit of the film. Sanjay Dutt uses a lot of profanity, which is not suitable for family viewing. However, those expletives suit him well, and such language is common in police circles.'
Noreen also shared her admiration for Dutt's portrayal, saying that his appearance and mannerisms closely matched those of her late husband. Chaudhry Aslam was murdered in 2014 in a suicide attack claimed by the TTP, where a car laden with 125 kilograms of explosives collided with his vehicle.
In another development, Pakistani politician Nabeel Gabol praised Rakesh Bedi, who played Jameel Jamali in 'Dhurdhar 2'. In a viral video, Gabol expressed his respect for Bedi, stating, 'Please convey my message to Rakesh Bedi. I hold you in high regard as a senior actor, and I appreciate your work.'
