Karimnagar News: An atmosphere of fear and superstition has arisen in Gandrapalli village of Karimnagar district of Telangana after the death of 28 people in the last three months. Fearful of the continuous deaths, the villagers decided to vacate the village and go into the forest to perform the ritual. In recent months, not only the elderly but also the youth have died in the village. This unusual situation has created an atmosphere of fear among the villagers. Many people believe that the village is haunted by some 'evil power', due to which these incidents are happening.
The villagers sought a solution from the village elders and priests. Reportedly, after seeing the horoscope of the village, the priest declared it to be a serious calamity and advised to perform special rituals. After this, the villagers performed 'Dappu' ritual as per traditional customs and on Thursday morning, after locking their houses, they along with their children went to the forest area outside the village.
There he performed puja and prayed to the Gods and Goddesses. During this time the entire Gandrapalli village looked empty and deserted. This village, which is usually full of celebrations, is now shrouded in fear. Although villagers are taking steps based on superstition, experts believe that there could be scientific reasons behind these deaths.
