The Rise of Organic Farming

Organic farming has gained immense popularity recently, with many individuals earning substantial income through it. While some focus on fruits, others cultivate organic vegetables. In a unique twist, a young man from Rajasthan has ventured into organic egg farming, generating impressive profits.

Sanjay Kumar's Innovative Approach

Sanjay Kumar operates a farm near Chor Bawdi along the Udaipur-Gogunda highway, where he raises chickens specifically for organic egg production. He ensures that his chickens are fed only organic food, maintaining high standards for their diet.

Additionally, he has set up a reverse osmosis (RO) water system for the chickens, ensuring they receive clean, chemical-free water. This meticulous care results in the production of truly organic eggs.

Cost and Quality of Organic Eggs

According to Sanjay, the cost of producing one egg is approximately ₹25. He prioritizes quality feed, which contributes to the larger size and weight of his eggs compared to conventional ones. All his eggs are entirely organic.

The feed for his chickens is sourced from Jamnagar, Gujarat, known for its high-quality organic feed, which is essential for producing organic eggs. Sanjay also supplements their diet with fresh, organic vegetables.

Free-Range Chickens and Market Demand

Sanjay's farm is spacious, allowing the chickens to roam freely. He raises around 400 birds of the Swarnadhara and Vanraja breeds, which collectively produce over 100 eggs daily.

He takes great care of his chickens, avoiding the use of synthetic fertilizers and chemicals. The demand for his organic eggs is high, with customers willing to pay a premium. His high-quality eggs can sell for six times the price of regular eggs in the market.
