New Delhi: The viral notice claiming that the National Exit Test (NExT) will be implemented for MBBS students beginning with the 2022 batch has been deemed fake by the National Medical Commission (NMC) official, as per the Medical Dialogues report.
The clarification came after the notice, dated April 1, 2026, began circulating widely on social media platforms. The document claimed that, according to a revised roadmap, NExT would apply to all MBBS students admitted from the 2022 batch and would be conducted in a phased manner.
The notice read as: "As per the revised roadmap and in continuation of previous communications, it has been decided that the NExT examination shall be applicable to all MBBS students admitted from the 2022 batch onwards."
The National Medical Commission (NMC) official further stated that the notice is fake. He further clarified that, “NMC is going to issue a public notice.”
