These days, the struggle to get credit for development work and save one’s land has intensified in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. The latest case is stuck between Moradabad and Rampur, where two powerful Samajwadi Party MPs have clashed over the establishment of ‘AIIMS’ (All India Institute of Medical Sciences). Moradabad SP MP Kunwarani Ruchi Veera has completely rejected the claims of her own party’s Rampur MP Mohibullah Nadvi and put him in the dock.
Actually, the matter heated up when Ruchi Veera came to know through newspapers that Rampur MP Mohibullah Nadvi had presented a demand in the Parliament to establish AIIMS in Rampur. Not only this, Nadvi also claimed in the House that Moradabad MP Ruchi Veera and Sambhal MP Ziaur Rahman Vark have agreed to this proposal. This claim created a stir in the politics of Moradabad, after which Ruchi Veera took to social media and took charge.
Moradabad MP Ruchi Veera has clarified her stand by writing a long post on Facebook. He said in a very strict tone that Mohibullah Nadvi talking about his consent is not only wrong, but it is also a part of ‘petty politics’. Ruchi Veera clarified that neither was there any discussion with her on any proposal to build AIIMS in Rampur nor did she give any consent.
It is being told that Ruchi Veera is very angry that her name has been used for a proposal which may go against the interests of her own parliamentary constituency. She wrote in her post, “I want to say clearly that no information was given to me in this regard nor was my consent taken. I completely deny this claim made by the Rampur MP.”
MP Ruchi Veera has termed Mohibullah Nadvi’s claims as completely wrong and baseless. In fact, Ruchi Veera herself has been lobbying for a long time to set up AIIMS in Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency. She reminded that she has already tabled the demand for AIIMS for Moradabad in the Parliament and her efforts in this direction are continuing continuously and seriously.
According to the local people of Moradabad, there is a severe shortage of health facilities in the district and patients here are often forced to travel to Delhi or Lucknow. In such a situation, this strong stance of Ruchi Veera shows her commitment towards the people of her area. She bluntly said that she has always been committed to the development of Moradabad and will continue to protect the interests of Moradabad in future also.
