
Patna News: After the implementation of the new film promotion policy in Bihar, the state has become the new hub of film shooting. At present, not one or two but 45 films have been approved for shooting in Bihar. Apart from Hindi, there are films of many regional languages also. The shooting of 45 films has been approved by the state government. These films are being made in many languages like Bhojpuri, Hindi, Magahi and Hindi-Maithili. These include 22 Hindi, 19 Bhojpuri, one Magahi, one English and Bhojpuri, one Hindi and Maithili films.
According to the list released by Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Limited for the year 2024-25 and 2025-26, a total of 45 films/projects are being shot in Bihar. These include 38 feature films, six documentaries and one web series. All these films are being provided subsidy and other facilities under the Bihar Film Promotion Policy of the state government. Since July 2024, the shooting of a total of 39 films has been completed, while the shooting of the remaining films is going on.
Major films included in the list include Sanghatiya, The Long Journey Home, Bihar Ka Jalwa, Suhagin Ke Senur, Life Leela, Zindagi Bitvani Tohre Pyaar Mein, Ghar Ka Bantwara, Nari, Rajni Ki Baraat, Oh My Dog, Tiya, Sugni, Patidaan, Chhath, Pen Brush, Bihaan, Anmol Ghadi, Bantwara, Ambe Hai Meri Maa, Beti Banal Vijeta, Akhand Bhedam, Bihari Bhauji, Brihaspati Vrat. Story, Jai Maiya Sharda Bhavani.
Zindagi Ek Prem Katha, Maiya Thawe Wali, Magadha Putra, Last Lesson, Echoes of the Absent, Champaran Satyagraha, Don't Turn, Aalaat, Adi Shakti Mundeshwari, Chess of Life, Mahabodhi Temple of Bodh Gaya, Ray of Light in the Dark, Sanskar of the Digital Age, Bajrangi, Gumbad, Pyaar Ta Pagal Hola, Bihar Legislative Assembly Chairman Upto 2025, Offline, Idol, Miss Bihar and The out cast buds are included.
The shooting of the films is taking place in various major locations of the state like Rajgir, Bodhgaya, Patna, Gaya, Munger and Champaran. Through these locations, the historical heritage, religious importance and natural beauty of Bihar is being showcased at the national level. Under the film promotion policy of the state government, producers are getting subsidy, single window clearance and administrative support.
