Airtel’s premium service, Airtel Black, has recently become the center of a unique controversy. A customer, who was facing internet problems for about 30 days, expressed disappointment when the company’s system showed his problem as “Resolved” despite repeated complaints. Due to this frustration, the customer took a unique step which created a stir on social media.
According to reports, the customer purchased the domain himself after learning that Airtel had not registered the AirtelBlack.com domain. He wrote sarcastic slogans like “Premium Services, Premium Neglect” on this website, making fun of Airtel Black’s premium service. On this website, sharp taunts have been made towards the customer service of the company.
A fake letter has also been presented on the website, in which it is written in the name of the CEO that understanding the problem and fixing it are two different departments and the service to fix the problem has not been launched yet. An AI system has also been added to this site, through which other users can share their complaints with proof. AI verifies these stories and displays them on the website.
This website quickly went viral on Instagram, Twitter and Reddit. Many users shared it and criticized the company. Due to this incident, Airtel had to face a lot of embarrassment.
As this dispute escalated, Airtel apologized to the customer and refunded the entire month’s bill. The customer who created the website said that the site will automatically close on June 19, 2026, because it has been programmed that way.
