  1. Earthquake tremors in many areas including Delhi-NCR, Afghanistan-Tajikistan border was the centre.

Earthquake tremors were felt in many areas of North India including Delhi-NCR, Jammu-Kashmir and Chandigarh. An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude occurred on the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, shaking many areas. In Jammu and Kashmir, people got scared due to two tremors, while in Noida people came out of offices and homes. At present there is no news of any damage.   1. Election Commission strict on police deployment before Bengal elections, orders review
