The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to announce several major recruitment drives this month. According to the calendar previously released by the SSC, notifications for three of its key recruitment examinations—the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam 2026, the Selection Post Exam 2026, and the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Exam 2026—were scheduled to be issued on March 31, 2026. Although no official notification regarding these recruitments has been released yet, it is widely anticipated that the Commission will soon issue the notifications for all three drives, thereby initiating the application process as well.

Meanwhile, several other major recruitment announcements—including that for the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination—are expected by the end of this month. As per the scheduled timeline, notifications for the Combined Hindi Translator, Stenographer Grade C & D, and Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL 10+2) examinations are slated to be released on April 30, 2026. These examinations will facilitate the recruitment of candidates for thousands of vacancies across various ministries and departments of the Central Government. Consequently, this month is considered to be of significant importance for young aspirants seeking government jobs.

**Which Recruitments Are Expected in May-June?**
Furthermore, the notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in the Delhi Police and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) is likely to be released on May 31, while the notification for the Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) recruitment examination may be issued on June 30. Additionally, the notification for the SSC Constable (GD), CISF, SSF, and Rifleman recruitment examination 2027 is expected to be released on September 30, 2026.

**Major Indications Regarding SSC GD Recruitment**
Responding to a query in the Rajya Sabha recently, the Central Government disclosed that there are currently over 93,000 vacancies across various security forces, including the Border Security Force (BSF), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Assam Rifles. These include over 28,000 posts in the CISF, more than 27,000 posts in the CRPF, over 14,000 posts in the BSF, more than 12,000 posts in the ITBP, approximately 6,700 posts in the SSB, and around 3,700 posts in the Assam Rifles. This statement by the government now provides clear indications that a large number of recruitment drives may be initiated in the near future, thereby offering excellent job opportunities to young people aspiring to join the paramilitary forces.
