Synopsis

Punjab School Education Board Class 5 and Class 8 results for 2026 are anticipated in the first week of April. Students can check their scorecards on the official website pseb.ac.in using their roll numbers. An SMS facility will also be available for quick access. Those who do not pass can appear for supplementary exams.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 5 and Class 8 result 2026 is expected to be declared soon, likely in the first week of April, on the official website pseb.ac.in. Once released, students will be able to check and download their scorecards using their registration number or roll number along with date of birth.

Over 2.9 lakh students had appeared for the Class 8 examinations conducted between February 17 and February 27, while the Class 5 exams were held from February 7 to February 27. The results will be made available online, and candidates are advised to keep login credentials ready to avoid delays during result checking.

Students can visit the official website pseb.ac.in and click on the link for Class 5 or Class 8 result once activated. After entering required credentials such as registration number or roll number and date of birth, the scorecard will appear on the screen. Candidates can then download the PDF and take a printout for future use.

To download the PSEB 5th and 8th scorecard PDF, students need to log in to the official portal, select the relevant class result link, and enter their details. The scorecard will display candidate information including name, roll number, subject-wise marks, aggregate marks, qualifying status, rank, and other details.

SMS facility for quick result access

If the official website faces heavy traffic, students can also check their results via SMS. By sending PB8 followed by their roll number to 5676750, they can receive their result directly on mobile phones shortly after declaration.

Grading system for class 8 students

The Class 8 grading system ranges from A+ for 91% to 100% marks to D for 40% or below. Each subject carries 100 marks, and students must secure at least 33% in each subject, including theory and internal assessment, to qualify.

Supplementary exams for failed candidates

Students who do not pass in one or two subjects will be eligible for supplementary examinations, likely to be held in May–June. The results of these exams are expected in August, and applications must be submitted through schools.

Pass percentage trends remain above 97 percent

In recent years, Class 8 results have consistently recorded high pass percentages, crossing 97%. In 2025, the pass percentage stood at 97.30%, with girls outperforming boys, continuing a stable performance trend across the state.
