A disturbing gang rape incident has emerged from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A young woman was out with her boyfriend when they were approached by two men who recorded a video of them. The assailants threatened to show the video to their families, instilling fear in the couple. When they inquired about the motive, the attackers demanded money from them.

Following this, the situation escalated as the assailants began to harass the young woman. Taking advantage of the chaos, her boyfriend fled the scene without attempting to assist her. Subsequently, the two men committed the heinous act of gang rape. The victim has since filed a complaint with the police, who have initiated an investigation into the case.

The victim recounted that she had gone to meet her boyfriend on July 26 and they were sitting in a secluded area near Tiwari Pur village in Maharajpur when the incident occurred. The attackers recorded her without consent and attempted to blackmail her for money. When she revealed that she had no cash, they proceeded to assault her. Additionally, she alleged that they attempted to steal her nose ring during the attack.

Arrests Expected Soon

According to the victim, she had initially gone shopping with her boyfriend, and the assault took place when they were alone in a deserted location. After the incident, she reported it to the police, but initially faced challenges in getting her case registered. Eventually, she sought help from ACP Abhishek Pandey, who confirmed that a case of gang rape has been filed against the two suspects. Police teams are actively searching for the assailants, and efforts are underway to apprehend them. They are also reviewing CCTV footage to aid in the investigation, and surveillance measures are being utilized to ensure the suspects are caught swiftly.
