United States President Donald Trump on Monday renewed his threats against Iran, saying that critical infrastructure in the country would be bombed by US forces if Tehran does not agree to a deal before the deadline.

On Sunday, Trump extended his deadline till 8 pm US Eastern Time for Iran to reach a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. It would be 5.30 am on Wednesday in India.

“We have a plan, because of the power of our military, where every bridge in Iran will be decimated by 12 o’clock tomorrow night [US eastern time], where every power plant in Iran will be out of business...” Trump told reporters. “…it’ll happen over a period of 4 hours if we want it to. We don’t want that to happen.”
