Matthew Gallagher, 41, who lives in an ordinary house in Los Angeles, has done what OpenAI CEO Sam Altman had predicted. Without a luxurious office, an army of hundreds of employees, or any major funding, Gallagher has created a stir in the business world just through the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and his intelligence. Matthew Gallagher started his company ‘Medvi’ by investing only 20,000 dollars (approximately Rs 18.5 lakh). This company, which was started in September 2024, is moving towards a turnover of Rs 16,700 crore in the year 2026. That means Galgar, who started the work by investing Rs 18 lakh, is today earning Rs 28 crore per day.
300 customers joined Medvi in the very first month and by the second month this figure crossed 1,000. In the company’s first full year in 2025, Medvea had sales of $401 million (Rs 3,700 crore). It made a profit of 16.2% i.e. around Rs 600 crore, which is several times more than the 5.5% profit of the sector giant ‘HIMS’. Gallagher previously ran a company with 60 employees that lost money and was closed.
Sam Altman had said in the year 2024 that soon with the help of AI a single person will be able to create a company worth 1 billion dollars. Matthew Gallagher has proved this to be true. Gallagher says that his biggest strength is quick decision making. Where big companies are bogged down in meetings and emails, Gelgar takes major decisions in minutes with the help of AI.
