PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme: Under the Central Government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, a total of 22 installments have been disbursed to farmers so far. Farmers are now awaiting the 23rd installment; however, the government has recently introduced certain changes to the scheme’s regulations.
For the 23rd installment, the government has made the ‘Farmer Registry’—specifically, the Unique Farmer ID—mandatory. This implies that farmers who do not possess this ID may experience delays in receiving their 23rd installment. Without a Unique Farmer ID, farmers will no longer be able to avail themselves of the benefits of the scheme. This requirement has been made mandatory for farmers across several states. Farmers can obtain their ID cards by visiting the online Agriculture Portal. Additionally, the card can also be obtained offline by visiting Common Service Centers (CSCs) or attending special camps organized for this purpose.
When will the 23rd installment of PM Kisan be released?
Under the PM Kisan scheme, three installments are released annually. Typically, each installment is disbursed at an interval of four months. The last installment was released in March 2026. Consequently, the 23rd installment is expected to be released in June or July 2026.
