There is tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the journey to Kailash Mansarovar in the year 2026. Every year thousands of devotees go to visit Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. Usually, visa and passport are required since this travel is within the territory of China. But there is a route in India where travel is possible without visa and passport.
If you want to travel without visa and passport, then a trip to Om Parvat and Adi Kailash is a great option. However, if you want to visit the real Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, a visa and passport will be required.
The journey to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat is done through the Uttarakhand route run by the Government of India. Devotees can travel on this route without passport and visa. This journey takes place completely within the borders of India and passes through Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. During this journey, devotees visit Adi Kailash and Om Parvat.
Adi Kailash is also called ‘Chhota Kailash’. It is considered a sacred form of Lord Shiva. The spiritual atmosphere and natural beauty here provide a special experience to the devotees.
The specialty of Om Parvat is that the shape of ‘Om’ is naturally formed from the snow on its peak. This scene is the center of faith and attraction for the devotees.
This journey is usually organized between May to September, when the weather is favourable. The official dates for the year 2026 will be announced by the Government of Uttarakhand or the concerned tourism department.
The following are the eligibility criteria for travel: age 18 to 70 years, being an Indian citizen, medical fitness certificate, and valid identity card.
If a devotee wants to visit the real Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar located in Tibet, he has to go through a passport, medical test, Chinese visa and a selection process by the Ministry of External Affairs. This visit is usually organized by the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India.
