The admission process for the 2026-27 academic session has commenced at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur. This presents an excellent opportunity for students planning to pursue higher studies after completing their 12th grade or graduation. This year, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University has made its entire admission process completely digital. Online registration has already begun for admission into 175 courses offered across the 13 schools operating within the university campus.

**Registration Details**
During the registration process, candidates are required to upload their photograph, signature, academic qualifications, and other essential information. To complete the application, it is mandatory to pay an online application fee of ₹300. The university administration has advised students to fill in all details with utmost care to avoid any complications in the future.

**Entrance Exams Mandatory for 18 Courses**
According to the university, out of the total 175 courses offered, there are 18 courses for which an entrance examination is mandatory for admission. Admission to Engineering programs (UIET) will be granted through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), while the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is required for Pharmacy courses. For the B.Ed program, a Joint Entrance Exam will be conducted, and for the Integrated Teacher Education Program, the examination will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Furthermore, for courses such as MCA, Master of Hospital Administration, Clinical Psychology, M.Ed, and B.Pharm, the university itself will conduct the entrance examinations.

**Opportunities via Merit, Interviews, and GDs**
For the remaining 157 courses, students will not be required to appear for an entrance examination. Admission to these courses will be granted based on merit. Some specialized courses will also incorporate a Personal Interview and a Group Discussion (GD) as part of the selection process.
