Bidadi: Bangalore South police have arrested another accused in the murder of a retired Air Force pilot and his wife, which took place four years ago at their Eagleton Villa residence. The arrest was made in Gujarat.
The accused, Ravikumar Yadav, originally from Bihar, had been hiding in Gujarat. Using Aadhaar card records, police traced his location and arrested him on April 6, presenting him before a local court in Gujarat before arranging his transfer to Bangalore.
The first accused, Joginder Yadav, was arrested on the day of the crime. After four years, the second accused has now been taken into custody.
Background of the case: At Eagleton Villa in Bidadi, retired Air Force pilot Raghurajan from Chennai and his wife Asha Rajan were murdered on February 8, 2022. According to a security complaint filed with the Bidadi police station, the crime was carried out by Joginder Yadav from Bihar and his relative Ravikumar Yadav, who were working in the couple’s household. Joginder Yadav had initially evaded arrest despite being cornered by security personnel.
A day later, when Bidadi police arrested Joginder near Bidadi Bypass, he revealed to the police that he had committed the crime along with his relative Ravikumar Yadav. The accused also informed the police that the murder was planned and executed for the sake of gold and money.
