On April 9, the streaming giant announced the addition of several new cast members for the upcoming episodes. The supernatural teen drama has already made headlines with the casting of Casino Royale star Eva Green and Stranger Things actress Winona Ryder. Recently, it was revealed that Game of Thrones alum Lena Headey, The Blacklist actor Andrew McCarthy, and Ted Lasso's James Lance will also be guest stars in this season. Netflix took to social media to announce the exciting casting of Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance, stating that every nightmare requires fresh faces. The trio will be guest-starring in the new season of Wednesday, which is currently being filmed in Dublin, Ireland. While their specific roles remain undisclosed, showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar previously hinted that Season 3 will introduce new students and teachers at Nevermore Academy, alongside revealing some hidden secrets of the Addams Family.
Other notable additions for Season 3 include Winona Ryder, who reunites with Jenna Ortega from Beetlejuice; Chris Sarandon; Noah Taylor; Oscar Morgan; and Kennedy Moyer. Ryder will portray Tabitha, Sarandon takes on the role of Balthazar, Morgan plays Atticus, Taylor is cast as Cyrus, and Moyer will be Daisy. However, further details about their characters have not been disclosed.
Eva Green, like Ryder, has collaborated with executive producer Tim Burton in the past. She is set to portray Ophelia Frump, the long-lost sister of Morticia Addams (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones). The conclusion of Season 2 revealed that Ophelia had been concealed in the basement by her mother, Hester (Joanna Lumley).
In addition to Ortega reprising her role as Wednesday Addams, Emma Myers will return as the werewolf Enid Sinclair, and Hunter Doohan will be back as Tyler Galpin, the Hyde. Other classmates, including Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, and Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille, will also make appearances.
Isaac Ordonez will continue as Wednesday's brother Pugsley Addams, while Luis Guzmán portrays her father Gomez Addams, and Fred Armisen plays her quirky Uncle Fester. Zeta-Jones and Lumley will return, along with Billie Piper as Isadora Capri and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Ritchie Santiago. Lastly, Victor Dorobantu will reprise his role as Wednesday's loyal companion, Thing.
