A shocking incident has come to light in Patna, Bihar, where a 13-year-old cousin has been accused of assaulting his 7-year-old relative. The child's mother reported that she had gone to the market in Maner, leaving her daughter alone at home. Upon her return, she found her daughter in a critical condition.

According to reports, the assault occurred while the mother was away. The accused, who lives nearby, took advantage of the situation and entered the house to commit the crime. After the incident, the girl's condition deteriorated, leading her to lose consciousness. Fearing the consequences, the young perpetrator fled the scene and hid at his grandmother's house.

The mother, upon discovering her daughter's state, immediately informed the local police. Based on the family's complaint, law enforcement acted swiftly, apprehending the minor from his grandmother's residence, located about 8 kilometers away.

Bhanu Pratap Singh, the Superintendent of Police for the area, stated that due to the seriousness of the case, prompt action was taken. He confirmed that the assault had been verified and that the minor was being held for further investigation. A forensic team also arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough examination.

Regarding the victim's health, the forensic team collected evidence, including the girl's clothing, for analysis. Fortunately, she is now out of danger and is recovering with her mother. Medical assistance has been provided to her.

The police have presented the accused minor before the Juvenile Justice Board. Since he is also a minor, the case will be processed under the Juvenile Justice Act. Authorities are investigating additional facts related to the incident, which raises serious concerns about child safety and the increasing crimes committed by minors.
