The flavourful street food Lachha Aloo Tikki Chaat is very much liked. To make this, first grate the boiled potatoes so that it gets a waxy texture. Now add cornflour, salt, red chilli and chaat masala and mix well. This mixture will help in making the tikkis crispy.
Now make small tikkis from this mixture and shape them by pressing gently. Heat oil in a pan and fry the tikkis on medium flame until they become golden and crispy. Keep in mind that the tikki should remain crispy from outside and soft from inside.
Now place hot tikkis in a plate. Pour whipped curd over it, then add sweet tamarind chutney and green chutney to balance the taste. After this add finely chopped onion, sev and pomegranate seeds. Sprinkle some chaat masala and green coriander on top. In this way your delicious Lachha Aloo Tikki Chaat is ready.
Always fry the tikkis on medium flame, so that they become nicely crispy. Curd should not be too sour, it can spoil the taste. If you want, you can also add boiled gram or sprouts in it, which will make it more healthy.
