Fans of The Celebrity Traitors won't be catching a glimpse of Anna Maxwell Martin in the Scottish castle.
The Motherland actress, 48, made an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday (April 11) evening alongside fellow guests Aitch, Catherine Tate, Myles Smith and Sir Michael Palin.
HostJonathan Ross quizzed his guests on whether any of them had been approached to feature in the second series of the celebrity spin-off of the hugely popular BBC gameshow.
Viewers will recall that the presenter featured in the first series, which aired last year and was ultimately won by traitor Alan Carr.
Anna revealed: "Yeah, I would have been with you [Jonathan], darling, [but] I can see from the civilian one, how late it gets on that show," the Mirror.
"That's a Scottish summer and they're not leaving that castle until it gets dark that's 11pm, 12am. If you're a Traitor it's 1am, 2am... I want to be in bed by 8pm."
Filmed in the Highlands and fronted by Claudia Winkleman, The Traitors follows a group of contestants, known as faithfuls, who attempt to identify the traitors concealed amongst them in order to claim a cash prize.
Comedian Catherine chipped in: "I 100 percent would do it... if it wasn't on the telly. If I could just go to the castle I'd love to play the game."
Celebrity Traitors proved a ratings triumph for the BBC, drawing in an average audience of 14.9 million viewers throughout its run last autumn, making it the biggest TV audience of 2025. The most recent series of the programme saw Jonathan selected to be a traitor alongside comedian Alan and singer Cat Burns, with the trio setting out to deceive and "murder" the faithfuls.
Anna also reminisced about the "amazing time" she experienced working on the hit BBC comedy Motherland, which explores middle-class motherhood.
She said: "Loved that show, all the cast, very close. Really proud of the girls. Its just daft. I think people thought it was a comedy about parenting, which it isn't really. It's about adults behaving like children really. We had a real laugh."
The award-winning series concluded in 2022 and has subsequently been adapted into spin-off Amandaland.
The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturdays on ITV1 and ITVX
