Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the US had failed to gain Iran's trust during recent talks, despite what he described as Tehran's willingness to negotiate in good faith. In a series of posts on the social site
Because of the experiences of the last two wars, we have no confidence in the other side, he said, adding that the proposals put forward by the Iranian delegation ultimately did not lead to any progress.
Let us tell you that on Saturday Pakistan Peace talks were held between Iran and American representatives in the capital Islamabad, but the talks yielded no results. This was the first conversation after the start of the war and ceasefire between the two countries.
No agreement could be reached in the talks that lasted for about 21 hours, both sides could not resolve the differences, especially the deadlock between the two countries regarding Iran's nuclear program. Ghalibaf said that the United States now has a choice.
1/ Before the talks, I stressed that good intentions and will are necessary, but due to the experiences of the previous wars, we are not opposed to confidence.
My colleagues in the Iranian delegation put forward 168 initiatives but ultimately failed to gain the confidence of the Iranian delegation at this stage of the talks.

He said, America has understood our logic and principles, and now it is time to decide whether it can win our trust or not.
He described the talks as part of a larger strategy combining diplomacy and military pressure. Ghalibaf said, we consider every step as another way of diplomacy along with military fight to maintain the rights of the Iranian country. He further said that Iran will continue efforts to strengthen its national defense achievements.
Ghalibaf also thanked Pakistan for helping in the talks and described it as a friendly and brotherly country. Pakistan played a key role in the two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran, which came into effect earlier this month after weeks of fighting.
The ceasefire included a halt to attacks and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which is an essential global shipping route. Despite the ceasefire, tensions remain, with both sides increasing rhetoric and warning that differences are still unresolved. Ghalibaf praised the Iranian people and the negotiating team after the talks, which he described as intense.
