Amethi boy laid the flag in PCS-2024. Constable Ashish Shukla posted in the police line will now become an officer. Ashish has secured 41st rank in the results of UP PCS-2024.

Ashish, who was successful even after doing eight hours of hard police duty, has proved that 'those who try never lose'. In order not to break the rhythm of his studies, he mostly did night duty during his eight years of service. So that we can study during the day. Now he will become a commercial tax officer. On his success, the senior officials sweetened his mouth by feeding him laddus and blessed him to move ahead.

Ashish Shukla, resident of Shukla Bazaar, Amethi, was posted as a constable in the year 2018. Presently he was in the police line, whereas before this he had been posted in many police stations of the city. His brother Ankit Shukla has also become the review officer. Elder brother Vivek Shukla is SI in the police. Ashish has given credit for his success to DCP SM Qasim Abidi, ADCP Sumit Sudhakar Ramtek and ADCP Shiva Singh.

Alumni three times in UPSC, IPS boosted his courage

Ashish says that after appearing thrice in UPSC, he had also given the PCS exam several times, but did not get success. After this IPS Sumit Sudhakar went to meet Ramteke sir. Told him that he was not able to study due to work pressure. Feeling depressed. According to Ashish, after this Sir took him to a room and said, 'If you study for at least three to four hours a day, you will be selected'. After this he also gave adequate leaves. Ashish says that due to his worry about Lakshya, his weight had also reduced.

Whenever there was confusion, I resorted to poetry.

Ashish, who recites standup poems, said that he comes from a farmer family. He received his primary education from Navodaya Vidyalaya, Amethi. Did Masters in Political Science from IGNOU. For the last seven years, he has been working in Govindnagar, QRT (Quick Response Team) as a constable. Most of the duty is done at night. This was beneficial in studies. When he used to come to the room after 4-5 in the morning, he used to focus on studies along with writing poems and stories.

DCP West stopped the transfer after hearing the problem

Ashish told that there came a time when father was admitted. At that time the transfer was also about to take place, then the problems were told to DCP West Qasim Abidi sir. After this he stopped the transfer. We will never forget the way the officers cooperated.

If you become an officer today then you are not a father.

Ashish told that his father was educated from Lucknow University, he was a very good scholar in the 1970-80s. His mental health deteriorated in 1987, after which he came to the village. Was admitted in KGMU, however he died six months ago. Ashish says, 'I am happy that I got selected, but I regret that my father could not see me become an officer. I have experienced a lot by becoming a constable, sometimes we are troubled even for food, after success I will go to thank those people who have fed me.

I am proud to have been a part of UP Police.

Ashish also praised the working methodology of UP Police. Said that 'UP Police is working on the policy of zero tolerance, best wishes to UP Police to keep working like this. There has been a lot of improvement in the police, I am proud to have been a part of the UP Police, thank you UP Police and Government of UP.
