Tyson Fury's family take centre stage in the boxer's Netflix reality programme, but his mother is notably absent.

The heavyweight champion returns with popular docuseries At Home with the Furys, alongside wife Paris and their seven children.

The programme originally launched in 2023, before an extended hiatus. Now, it has finally come back with 10 new episodes available to stream on Netflix.

This series, viewers are granted a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Tyson contemplating retirement, while Paris juggles new business ventures alongside hectic family life in Morecambe, reports the Mirror.

Fans also witness appearances from Tyson's boxer brother Tommy Fury, and his father John. But many have been left curious about why Tyson's mother isn't featured on the show.

Amber Fury is Tyson's mother. While her son has established himself in the boxing hall of fame, she has succeeded in staying out of the public eye.

She maintains an extremely private existence and does not feature on the Netflix programme. While the family has not commented on why Amber is absent, it's presumably because she has opted to lead an ordinary life, despite her family's celebrity standing.

No photographs of Amber exist online, with the boxer acknowledging "it's crazy" that she has avoided fame entirely.

He told Irish Mirror: "I looked on Google the other day and there's not one picture of my mother on the internet. That's crazy isn't it?

"She has never been to one of my boxing fights, amateur or professional and never been in the public eye at all. She's a private person. That's her priority, not mine."

Tyson also disclosed that his mother doesn't quite grasp just how well-known her son truly is. In his autobiography, Behind The Mask, he wrote: "To be honest, my mum doesn't fully understand what I have achieved as a boxer.

"I took her out shopping one time after the Wilder fight and I was being stopped for photographs and autographs everywhere I went in Manchester and she couldn't understand it.

"I had to explain to her that I was the heavyweight champion of the world and a lot of people had watched me and supported me. That was actually very special."

Notwithstanding his mother's absence from the series, Tyson's father John features throughout. John and Amber were formerly married and have four children together, including Tyson, Shane and Hugh. Their daughter, Ramona, tragically passed away shortly after birth.
