CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has announced recruitment for over 9,000 Constable posts, for which eligible candidates will be able to apply very soon.
The Central Reserve Police Force has invited applications for the recruitment of Constables. A total of 9,175 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment campaign. This opportunity is particularly significant for young individuals aspiring to build a robust career while simultaneously serving the nation. For general Constable posts, a candidate's age must fall between 21 and 27 years as of January 1, 2026. This implies that a candidate must not have been born before January 2, 1999, or after January 1, 2005.
Conversely, for specific trade-based posts—such as Motor Mechanic, Cobbler, Carpenter, Tailor, Bandsman, Gardener, Bugler, Painter, Cook, Barber, Washerman, Water Carrier, Sweeper, Mason, Plumber, and Electrician—the prescribed age limit is set between 18 and 23 years. For these specific posts, the candidate's date of birth must not fall before January 2, 2003, or after January 1, 2008.
What will the Selection Process entail?
The selection process for this recruitment will be conducted in multiple stages to ensure that only eligible and physically fit candidates advance further. The selection process comprises:
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Trade/Skill Test
Document Verification (DV)
Medical Examination (DME/RME)
The PET and PST will be conducted using modern digital equipment and RFID technology to ensure the entire process remains transparent. Candidates who successfully clear the PET and PST will be called to appear for the CBT examination.
What is the Application Fee?
Male candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹100 per post. Conversely, candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories, female candidates from all categories, and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can be paid online via BHIM, UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, or CSC Wallets.
