In a shocking incident from Jehanabad, Bihar, a 5-year-old boy was brutally raped and murdered by a canteen guard. The police have apprehended the suspect, Mukesh Kumar, who will face a speedy trial for his heinous crime.
The tragic case unfolded at Gurukul School in Kanodi, where the young student was attacked on Sunday night. After the assault, the child was viciously killed with a blade. Authorities have confirmed that the crime was committed by Mukesh, also known as Sudama, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
The police have recovered the sharp blade used in the murder. The arrested individual hails from Bembhai village in the Pali police jurisdiction and has been remanded to jail as investigations continue.
Investigations revealed that the guard's wife had left him previously, leading to significant stress in his life. This turmoil reportedly made him a target of ridicule from the hostel children, who called him impotent, contributing to his mental distress. Additionally, he had a prior altercation with the hostel operator, which may have fueled his malicious intentions.
According to SP Aparajit Lohan, on the night of the incident, the hostel children were watching television. Once the TV was turned off, the guard lured the innocent boy into his room under false pretenses. There, he committed the assault. When the child began to scream, fearing exposure, the guard silenced him by slitting his throat and discarded the body on the stairs.
SP Aparajit Lohan has stated that a speedy trial will be conducted against Mukesh Kumar to ensure that the victim's family receives justice promptly and that the perpetrator faces severe punishment.
