JioHotstar brings HBO Max to India in exclusive deal

HBO Max is now available in India exclusively on JioHotstar. This partnership brings popular shows like Euphoria and The Last of Us to Indian viewers. Upcoming releases include new seasons of House of the Dragon and the Harry Potter series. Subscribers can also access classic series and Warner Bros. films.

JioHotstar and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) have expanded their partnership to bring HBO Max to India on JioHotstar, making it the exclusive home of HBO Max in the country.

Launched today, the HBO Max hub brings together content from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios. For the first time, Indian viewers can access HBO Max content in one place.

The HBO Max hub offers a wide content catalogue. Viewers can now watch season three of Euphoria. Upcoming 2026 titles include the next season of House of the Dragon, DC Studios’ Lanterns, and the first season of the HBO Original Harry Potter series, titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Series currently available include The Last of Us, The White Lotus, The Pitt, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Succession, Dune: Prophecy, Sex and the City and Game of Thrones.

Under the renewed partnership, JioHotstar subscribers can also watch Friends and The Big Bang Theory for the first time, along with The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and The Flash. The platform will also offer Warner Bros. films, including the Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings collections, as well as titles from the DC Universe.

The HBO Max hub will be available alongside JioHotstar’s existing content. The add-on pack starts at Rs 49 per month and includes access to HBO Max content and JioHotstar’s international library.
