Actor and singer Aashir Wajahat has shared thoughtful advice for fellow celebrities and social media influencers, urging them to maintain a healthy balance between their public presence and private lives in an increasingly digital world.

Speaking during a recent television appearance, Aashir reflected on the growing influence of social media on the entertainment industry and how it has reshaped the way celebrities interact with audiences. Having grown up in the spotlight as the son of renowned filmmaker Wajahat Rauf and producer Shazia Wajahat, he offered a unique perspective shaped by lifelong exposure to the industry.

Currently earning praise for his performance in the drama Kafeel, Aashir discussed how fame at a young age and constant public visibility can blur the boundaries between personal and professional life. He noted that while platforms like Instagram and TikTok allow artists to directly connect with fans, they also create pressure to constantly present a picture-perfect lifestyle.

According to him, many celebrities unintentionally contribute to a “highlight reel culture,” where only joyful, successful, or celebratory moments are shared online. This, he explained, can create an illusion that everything in a public figure’s life is always smooth and problem-free.

Aashir emphasized that this curated reality can have unintended emotional effects on audiences, particularly those who may be going through personal struggles. He pointed out that repeated exposure to idealized lifestyles can lead to comparison, dissatisfaction, and emotional discomfort among viewers.

He further stressed that celebrities often forget that their posts reach a diverse audience, including young fans who are highly impressionable. For this reason, he suggested that public figures should be more conscious of what they share and how it may be interpreted.

At the same time, Aashir clarified that he is not against celebrities sharing their happiness or milestones, but believes there should be moderation and authenticity in what is presented online. He encouraged artists to remain genuine while also protecting their personal boundaries
