Karan Johar’s recent meeting with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway during the promotions of The Devil Wears Prada in Tokyo has drawn significant attention. During the interaction, KJo not only shared a warm conversation with the duo, but also surprised them with a special gift on behalf of his close friend and fashion designer, Manish Malhotra. The designer has gifted them outfits from his collection.

Talking about the same, Manish tells us, “Meryl Streep has always been one of my most favourite actors and so is Anne Hathaway. The Devil Wears Prada is a film I’ve truly loved. I’ve watched it multiple times over the years. So, it was a real pleasure to share my work with them. Meryl carries such an iconic legacy, an unmatched aura and I feel a well-crafted power suit only adds to that strength and elegance she embodies. Anne represents a modern and confident voice, so a contemporary silhouette felt just right for her. It makes me extremely proud and happy to take Indian craftsmanship to a global stage through artistes I deeply admire.”

We hear that while Anne’s piece is in white and pink tones, he chose a floral orange and green ensemble for Meryl — both pieces exuding boss energy while still delivering a strong sense of glamour and elegance.
