Recently, director Vignesh Shivan and actress Nayanthara found themselves in the spotlight due to a viral video related to their promotional event for the sanitary napkin brand Femi9. During an interview promoting his film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), Vignesh addressed the controversy surrounding a comment made during crowd management at the event. He clarified that the statement had been taken out of context, leading to misunderstandings online.
Viral Video Sparks OutrageThe promotional event featured various influencers, and a comment made by the organizer was recorded and widely shared. The phrase “please cooperate; they’re not normal people” quickly gained traction, leading many to believe that the couple was disrespecting the attendees. This misinterpretation resulted in significant backlash, with users expressing their outrage over the perceived insult.
In a discussion with Behindwoods, Vignesh explained that the original comment was misheard.
