An 18-year-old girl, who was set to enroll in a government medical college, tragically lost her life at the hands of her own family. Authorities have classified this incident as an honor killing, implicating her father and uncle in the crime.
Incident Occurred Before Court Hearing
The girl had worked tirelessly to score 478 marks in the NEET exam, securing her admission to a government medical college. However, her family prioritized their 'honor' over her education and future.
Uncle's Fear of Romantic Relationships
According to police reports, the girl's uncle expressed concerns after visiting colleges where boys and girls studied together. He warned her father that if she attended such a college, she might fall in love and marry, leading to family disgrace. Consequently, her family confiscated her phone, cut her off from social media, and confined her to household chores.
Drugged and Murdered
As per the FIR, the uncle, following the father's orders, mixed a sedative into the girl's milk. Once she became unconscious, they took her to a storage room and strangled her with a scarf. They then attempted to stage the scene as a suicide.
False Narratives to Villagers
Police revealed that the uncle told some villagers that the girl suffered a heart attack, while he informed others that she committed suicide. He urged everyone to keep the truth hidden. Investigations confirmed that this was a premeditated murder. Currently, the girl's father is on the run, while her uncle is in police custody.
