Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the opposition parties have "brutally crushed" the dreams of women by not allowing the Women's Reservation Bill to be passed in Parliament despite the government's best efforts. A day after the defeat in the Lok Sabha of the bill to implement women's reservation in assemblies, PM Modi in his address to the nation said that the selfish politics of parties like Congress, DMK, TMC and Samajwadi Party has come at the cost of the women of the country, and they have foiled the efforts to give 33 percent reservation to women in the assemblies.

They Said, “I apologize to all the women of the country.” The Prime Minister said that the opposition parties opposing the Nari Shakti Vandan Act in Parliament were taking women power lightly.

She said, "Today, every citizen of India is seeing how the progress of India's women has been hindered. The dreams of the country's women have been brutally crushed, and despite our best efforts, we could not succeed."

celebrated mean politics

Modi said women have seen how parties like Congress, TMC and DMK “celebrated their selfish politics” against women empowerment.

He said, "The opposition has committed a sin by opposing women's reservation, and they will definitely be punished for it. The opposition parties have insulted our Constitution by defeating the bill." The Prime Minister said that the purpose of the bill is to give wings to women empowerment without snatching anything from anyone.

She said, "I had hoped that Congress would correct its past mistakes, but it missed the opportunity to write a new history. Family-run parties do not want women to move forward because it could end their selfish politics."

Congress is doing divisive politics

He also accused the Congress of doing divisive politics, and said that the Congress spreads lies about the North-South divide. He said, "A woman forgets everything, but not her insult; this insult of Congress and its allies will always remain in the heart of every woman."

Modi said that changes in the Nari Shakti Vandan Act are the need of the hour and it is an honest attempt to ensure balanced empowerment in North, South, East and West. He said that Congress has always opposed all efforts to build the country and improve our country.

PM Modi said that I know that today the mothers, sisters, daughters of my country… you all are sad. I am also saddened by your sorrow, but our efforts will not stop, our efforts will not stop, our self-confidence is invincible. We will have more opportunities in future also. We have to fulfill this resolution for the dreams of half the population and for the future of the country.
