Support from Family Following Arrest

The family of singer D4vd has publicly expressed their support for him after his recent arrest linked to the death of Celeste Rivas. D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, has faced intense scrutiny since Rivas's body was discovered in his Tesla last year. Although he was arrested recently, formal charges have yet to be filed. In a statement released through their attorney, Kent A Schaffer, the family conveyed their sadness over the arrest but affirmed their belief in his innocence. They stated, "The parents… are sad and disappointed that David was arrested. However, they fully stand behind him and believe that he is innocent."

The singer's legal team has also categorically denied any involvement in wrongdoing, asserting, "Let us be clear: the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death." They emphasized that no grand jury has returned an indictment and no criminal complaint has been filed, indicating that he is being held under suspicion without formal charges.

Authorities in Los Angeles are anticipated to make a decision regarding potential charges soon, with local media suggesting that the District Attorney could reach a conclusion as early as Monday. The arrest occurred at a property in the Hollywood Hills, previously owned by Sandra Bullock, which was reportedly found in disarray. Neighbors indicated they were unaware of D4vd's residence at the location.

In a separate incident, a skywriting message seen during the Coachella music festival that read "Celeste is a liar" was initially thought to be related to the case but has since been dismissed as unrelated. Reports suggest that the message may have been part of a promotional effort for another project. As prosecutors continue to review the case, officials have not ruled out the possibility of no charges being filed, depending on the investigation's findings. The case remains active.
