The police took immediate action and caught both the accused. Investigation revealed that both the accused were residents of Neemuch and were associated with this betting network for a long time.

10 lakh cash and transactions worth crores found in search

When the police searched the car, Rs 10 lakh in cash was recovered from there. Along with this, six mobile phones were also found, through which betting was being played. The biggest revelation came when the mobile phone of the main accused was examined. A transaction worth about Rs 1 crore was found in it.

During interrogation, the accused told that he had received a link through Telegram. Through that link he downloaded an app and created his ID. After this he started betting online easily and gradually started earning lakhs of rupees. This method is increasing rapidly nowadays, where people join betting networks through social media and messaging platforms.

Also took a house on rent to dodge the police

The accused had also taken a rented house in Mahalaxmi Nagar to escape from the police. From there he was running his network and whenever needed, he would go to different places and place bets. Even on the day of the incident, both the accused had come to buy liquor while betting, when the police got information and they were caught on the spot.

Growing danger and new challenge

IPL betting is no longer limited to just big cities, but has also reached small towns and villages. Due to online platforms, it has become more dangerous because it is difficult to get caught.
