Ishan Kishan: In the IPL 2026 match held last night, Chennai Super Kings faced off against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 194 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to a rapid half-century from Abhishek Sharma and a powerful innings from Heinrich Klaasen.

When it was Chennai Super Kings' turn to bat, they could only muster 184 runs in their 20 overs, resulting in a 10-run defeat. Despite the victory, SRH captain Ishan Kishan expressed dissatisfaction.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting lineup, including Travis Head, Aniket Verma, Salil Arora, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, struggled to score runs. Kishan himself did not score against CSK, although he had performed well in previous matches. Therefore, even with the win against CSK, Ishan Kishan was not pleased with his batters' performance.

Following the match, Kishan reprimanded his batsmen while praising the bowlers, attributing the victory against Chennai Super Kings primarily to his bowling unit.

Ishan Kishan commended his bowlers after the match, stating,

“Having young bowlers is fantastic as they bring fresh strategies. The bowlers executed their roles excellently.”

He further remarked,

“The pitch was good for batting, and their team fell short by 30-40 runs. They should have batted better. We are not focusing on the points table as this is a long tournament; we are concentrating on one match at a time.”
