All eyes are on Bhawanipur seat in West Bengal Assembly elections. State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is the Trinamool Congress candidate from this seat and her rival is senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari. In the last assembly elections, Suvendu Adhikari had defeated Mamata Banerjee from Nandigram seat. This time also Suvendu Adhikari is continuously challenging Mamata Banerjee. Because of this, Mamata Banerjee, who is busy campaigning in different areas of the state, has decided to focus on Bhawanipur also in this election.

For the first time in her political career, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced her decision before the second phase of assembly elections. Bhawanipur She is going to campaign in every ward of the constituency. Voting is to be held in Bhawanipur in the second phase on April 29. Before voting, election campaigning is intense in the area.

A meeting of top leaders of Trinamool Congress was held in Bhawanipur regarding the election campaign. In this meeting it has been decided to conduct door-to-door campaign.

Mamta will campaign in Bhawanipur from 24th April

According to sources, from 24 to 27 April, Mamata Banerjee will hold programs in the entire Bhawanipur area and will try to woo people.

TMC sources say that Mamata Banerjee will hold a public meeting on April 24 near Chetla CIT Market under Bhawanipur Assembly Centre. At the same time, on April 25, she will hold a rally in ward numbers 82 and 74 of Bhawanipur.

TMC sources say that Mamata Banerjee will take out a rally in Ward 70, 71, 72 from Lansdowne on 26 April. Will participate in the rally in Ballygunge Phadi on 27th April. Apart from this, there are more programs in Ward 77 and 63.

TMC sources say that Mamata Banerjee has already held more than 230 rallies across the state, and has single-handedly come out and held meetings in support of all the 291 candidates. She is confident of victory in Bhawanipur, which will enable her to focus elsewhere.

Political rhetoric intensifies on Bhawanipur

However, BJP has taken a dig at Mamata Banerjee's continuous campaigning in Bhawanipur. Former Union Minister Smriti Irani attributes Mamata's hyper-local focus to the fear of her opponent Suvendu Adhikari. “This is the charisma of Suvendu Dada,” she says, and claims that Mamata is “confined” to Bhawanipur due to nervousness.

On the other hand, TMC rejected it and said that Mamata Banerjee's strategy shows strength, not fear. Party sources have described his marathon campaign as a proof of confidence. Trinamool Congress leader Jaiprakash Majumdar says that BJP is dreaming of victory on May 4, but the election results will shatter their dreams. BJP has not understood the mandate of Bengal.
